Whirlwind Adds Solar Roofing System To Product Lineup

Houston, TX — Whirlwind Steel Buildings Inc. has announced the addition of an EnergyPeak™ building-integrated solar metal roofing system to its extensive product lineup. The new Whirlwind Solar Energy System (SES) is an amorphous photovoltaic peel & stick system that can be permanently bonded to standing seam metal roof panels in the factory or in the field. The system offers a renewable energy alternative for metal roof and metal building applications.

Whirlwind’s SES is available in seven pre-designed packages ranging from 3 kilowatts to 120 kilowatts. Benefits of the system include penetration-free installation, very low product weight (less than 1 pound per square foot), low life-cycle costs and direct connection to the building’s electrical system.

In addition to supplying the system, Whirlwind provides all necessary electrical drawings, wire and equipment sizing requirements and specifications.
