The thin-film laminate is flexible, which makes it ideal for metal roofs. |
Lancaster, PA - Fabral has announced the availability of its new Solar SSR system. The system utilizes thin film photovoltaic laminate technology and features the highest quality, UL-approved components. The system offers a 10 year return on investment and comes with a 20-year warranty.
The flexibility and durability of the laminates used with the Fabral system make them ideal for metal roofs, where expansion and contraction, as well as curving are considerations. The panel/laminate bond created during installation—whether in the factory or in the field—has been tested to withstand winds of 160 mph. The addition of the solar laminates to the metal panel surface requires no penetrations or additional structural supports.
The Solar SSR option is available on four profiles of Fabral roofing—1-1/2” SSR, Thin Seam, Slim Seam and Snap-on-Seam.

Upon commissioning of the system, it will begin generating clean, renewable electric power that’s sent directly into the power grid through the building’s electric meter. The system is available in a variety of power ranges, including 5, 7, 15, 30, 60, 125, and 250 kw systems.
